TALL CHEDDAR BREADSTICKS

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. prepared pizza dough
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup grated Darigold cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (hot or sweet)
  • Coarse salt

Preparation

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 4 X 18-inch strip. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with cheddar cheese, thyme and paprika; press cheddar mixture into the dough. Cut the dough into ½-inch strips with a pizza cutter. Fold strips in half lengthwise and twist to form spirals. Place on the parchment, leaving ½-inch space between sticks. Brush with additional olive oil and sprinkle with the salt. Bake at 450F 8 to 12 minutes, or until browned and crispy. Makes 8 servings. (Recipe may be doubled.)
